Kids' Book Club - Farmer Boy
We hosted book club for the month of March. Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder was a great look back in time! We stepped back thru the years to study candle dipping, weaving, farm animals as resources, and even had a lesson on displacement using popcorn and milk. Clare brought apples and onions, which are Almanzo Wilder's favorite food, to serve with popcorn and apple cider... what a great afternoon! So blessed to be part of this caring, supportive community!

You can fill a glass of milk
with an equal sized glass of popcorn and it will
NOT displace the milk...

The kids were able to list resources we gain from our animals

Popcorn was a common snack for the
Wilder family. Of course without
microwaves, they popped it on
an open fire.

Sunday school
The kids learning about pressure from a wet paper towel and stones. Learning about another type of pressure too, temptation. The paper towel never did break and Jesus didn't give into temptation either...
