Swim practice

Practicing before swim team tryouts

Evening hike

Trying out new shoes before yellowstone and checking the mileage we think Merritt can hike without complaints.

Checking Daddy's mileage too since he's just now coming out of his sling.

Hawk poop. There where little downy bird feathers here too from supper.

Large fishing spider

Rattlesnake hawkweed

Mountain laurel

Gaitz said this was a crude yucca rope

Daddy pointing out a canopy tree to sibley

Celebration

I can't remember what we were celebrating ... But it was something

The kids were chanting "chug a lug" hope this isn't insight to the future college years 😳

Lecture on hot springs and thermophiles. Followed by our own "hot springs" tie dye tshirts! THE KIDS LOVED THIS PROJECT! Extra special treat Nan and my niece, Lanier, were able to join us. Afterward Nan took us all to DQ!

School

Introducing Farside by Gary Larson

Counting money

He seemed bored so silly word problems helped!

Gray fox

Gaitz caught our chicken killer in a love trap. He wanted to skin him and tan the hide. after him and Cory talked about how majestic they are, he changed his mind. So proud of this guy's compassion as he high fived me when the critter ran off down the road. The whole way home we joked about "what the fox said"...

Some of my favorites...
-I'll be beat you back to the house.
-See Ya in the mornin!
-Na nana boo boo, I fooled you!
-Bet I can kill 3 chickens before you get back to the house.
-Suckers!!!!

Adventure awaits
