Friday night

We had been looking forward to kids' book club all month only to get there and have a bad case of the grouchies.... We tucked tail and ran! Back to the house where she fell off her stool, choked on dinner and then vomited everywhere! A nice long bath for the both of us and shredded cheese... good as new!  I must say I was proud I didn't snap (this is not always the case ).... AND A GREAT TIME WAS HAS BY ALL!

Gaitz and Case

Aubie Repair

The Sills family gave Aubie to Gaitz before he was born.
Sweet Aubie has been through a lot!
About a  year ago was the worst, Boone amputated one of his toes.
Gaitz was so sad and I have been neglectful in repairing. ....
Finally!
Although Gaitz would not admit it at the ripe old age of 8,
he was happy to have him back! 

Thursday morning

Our Thursday morning stop between carpool sessions to checkout the view. 

Merritt collected a handful of acorns and a daddy long leg. Convinced her to leave the spider here.

King Peter for Halloween. 

Render spotted a plane streaking through the sky. After my rendition of "leaving on a jet plane", we tried to guess the destination. Render thinks... To the moon  to bust it open, to Jesus or a far away McDonalds! I told him they were headed to Italy to eat pizza and sang "when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie". He quickly told me I was cray cray... Haha!

More tid bits from the trail

loved low Gap shelter, lots of space to spread out, beautiful and great water source. Several owls surrounding us hooted all night long, enchanting! 

Fire ant in water bottle... Beware!

Trying to send kids a picture and text pops up on the screen just as we are about to snap... "Boone killed a rat - from Gaitz ." That's the reason for the cheesy laughs.

Had left my phone in Wes' jeep. He dropped it at Wakasi-yi for me... Thanks man!! He even triple bagged it. 

Tradition... 5 guy's burgers and fries post hike. 

Great to be home!
