hawk

A couple weeks ago Gaitz notice a pair
of hawks building a nest in our front yard.
We have throughly enjoyed watching them build and
now the female appears to be sitting on eggs. She hasn't
left the nest in a few days.
Just today we saw the male coming into visit until
he saw us. He flew to one of his common
hunting perches near the driveway, easy to spot his
areas due to the large poop on the ground below.
Can't wait to watch this new family.

Boys

Leelee, our most wonderful neighbor, took the girls to have their nails done so the boys applied war paint, rode bikes and dissected lizard tails. Boys will be boys!

Time change party!

Downtown Columbus

You can't come downtown without a visit to freeze frame ice cream parlor!

Our annual conference time!

Homeschool conference.
I came away feeling in awe of the great adventure I'm privileged to be on, inspired to "pack lite" next year and knit our relationships together.
When a room full of women close their eyes and sing doxology with hands lifted you have no choice but to tear up and be grateful! Not to mention I found a great "course" for literary analysis that I might be taking just for my own benefit 😂. Maybe my knowledge will trickle down to the kiddos!

And to top it off Emily and I were able to have hours of heart to heart talks without interruption and share our addiction to books, hence my new "Green Ember" tee!
(Without interruption exception the wreck less driving warning 😁. Guess we were that excited!)
