Christmas 2017 books

Christmas brought new additions to
our home library.
Some of our already loved authors included...

Jean Craighead George, Eve Bunting,
Linda Sue Parks, Andrew Peterson, Jonathon Rogers

Shannon Hale, Patricia MacLachlan

Julia Donaldson, Edna Walker Chandler

Cowboy Sam books aren't easy to get.
These were gifted to
Render from his sweet KK!

Christmas 2017 Gaitz

He worked hard this summer to buy this
horse and Santa brought them a saddle.

Mel brought his
roping dummy which entertained
him while Slick the horse
took a rest.

Christmas 2017 Render

For one of his two wishes Render asked
for Gertie to get a dog bed, so sweet and thoughtful!
His other wish was for a drone but Santa
had a little surprise.....a desk.
He was thrilled! He has
been making pretend desks in his room
for about a year now.

Christmas 2017 Ballet shoes

A ballet bar, leotards, and shoes.
Lots of twirling, pointing
and giggling.

A Christmas Pony 2017

Sometimes dreams really do come true!
Archie, our elf, left a note telling Merritt
to take good care of his friend! He also said
that Macaroni refused to
come inside. It was a cold dash
to the barn in the dark but ended in a wonderful
SURPRISE!

cold, cold,cold and dark....

So I must admit he is a DOLL!!
The sweetest pony I have ever met!

Merritt and her Daddy taking a little trail ride.

Yankee Doodle went to town.
Riding on a pony.
Stuck a feather in his hat
and called it Macaroni!!

Christmas Play part2

Christmas Play Part 1

Last year the kids performed a Thanksgiving play...
this year was a Christmas Pageant.
It was sweet and holy, the gathering
of friends, the carols praising our
Lord and Ezra's solo was enough
to bring tears to your eyes!+

Camp Jekyll Beach Study

So this trip will forever be ingrained in
my mind. Our guide set us up for fishing between
the shore and a little ripple of a tide pool behind.
QUICKLY the tide came in and left us all standing
on a sand bar. Even in the wind and cold our
kids (and parents) were so EASY... taking off shoes,
rushing around gathering equipment,
laughing at each other, carrying people
across the ocean on their backs.
WHAT A GREAT GROUP OF FOLKS!

wish I had more pictures of people being carried!
sometimes thigh high water!
