Lately we've been snuggling in the girls bed at night for prayers and read alouds. Tonight when the boys were retiring to their bed I gave them the usual I Love You sign but made it into a ceiling shadow with the head lamp. Of course, they all had to do a whole body shadow before Cory and I could chase them into their rooms. Love our nights together! On a different note we used a different format for prayers last night, Cory and I started and with thanks and then opened to floor for anyone that has something to add, then forgiveness and lastly prayer request. Each time the kids had something wonderful to add. Sibley prayed for the confidence to stand and sing at the mic during choir, Gaitz asked for help with becoming more responsible, we all showed gratitude for our blessings. The conversations with "our 24 Family Ways" is definitely helping and changing it up a bit helps too!
