Our bird studies

At the beginning of the year we took bets as to how many birds we could identify using our Sibley Bird Cards. I said 30, Sibley said 15 and we can't remember what Gaitz said. So far we are between 30-40. Each identified bird card hangs on a string in our kitchen... They are beautiful! This simple act has awakened our senses to this often overlooked part of nature. It has taught patience and attentiveness I'm abundance!! Not to mention the excitement so seeing a previously unidentified species!!!

Render journaled about her afterwards without prompting!

Red winged blackbirds in abundance at the fish hatchery... Gaitz found one of their nest!
