Easter Sunday (in quarantine)

Our intention was to get up and get dressed as if we were going to church. You know that gives it a reverence that I cherish, but when it came to it we just didn't. We did worship God together in a big pile on the sofa, while listening to some of my favorite people on the computer screen. We sang along to the hymns and bowed our heads in faithful prayer. A big Sunday lunch was a reminder of Easter but didn't come close to the bandanna lined picnic baskets my mom serves us in her back yard each year. All my kids grieved those baskets, their cousins and even the paper straws in the milk glasses full of lemonade. To hear them talk of those baskets you'd think it was a gourmet meal at a 5 star restaurant.  Easter was lovely in it own way.... We miss Nan's.

Deviled eggs....

Homemade ice cream and decorated sugar cookies that Whitney blessed us with.
