New Year Hike

It was cold but the kids were chomping at the
bit to get out! First, we went to sprewells bluff
to see how high the flood waters were. Of course, they
had the roads closed! Don't know what I was thinking.
Quick meal at Mickey D's and off to one of
our favorite spots, FDR park.

New Years hike. Reflection is a gift....looking back into 2015 I can see how they have developed into individuals, yet also into a clan, group, set... a family. The dynamics are ever changing but yet I could tell you right now characteristics of that group that will be ever present. I know these because they have been there, they have been there since birth. Render, with his strength and testing... He'll test the limits and I love this about him. Gaitz, his wondering mind and need to explore. He forever wants this amazement to spark interest in others. Sibley, her gentle quiet spirit, learning to show mercies. She has a servant heart that will provide this family with grace and love through the ages. Merritt, I pray daily that her boldness will glorify our mighty God. Hope you all take time to reflect while we also strive to lean forward into the new year.... Reflection truly can be a gift! ✌️Hope you all have a beautiful day. #reflection #itsthesimplethings #hike #hikingwithkids

Rubber boots because we thought we
were headed to the river.
